AksonThai is designed to keep your data on your device. This policy explains the few cases where information may leave your phone.
Handwriting recognition — when you use Check on the practice card, or draw to search, the strokes you draw (a sequence of coordinates and timings — not an image or screenshot) are recognised on your device using Google’s ML Kit Digital Ink Recognition (Thai, th-TH). The strokes stay on your device and are not sent to us or to any third party. The first time you use recognition, the app may download the on-device language model.
Voice — pronunciation uses your device’s built-in text-to-speech. Speech is generated on the device; AksonThai does not send audio or text to a speech server.
Purchases & restore — AksonThai offers an optional one-time Pro upgrade. Purchases and restores are handled entirely by the app store (Google Play) using your store account; AksonThai never sees or stores your payment details. The app only keeps a local flag recording whether Pro is unlocked. Restoring purchases asks the store what your account owns and re-enables Pro on a new device — no AksonThai account is involved.
No account — AksonThai has no account system and no login. You are not asked for an email, name, or any identifier to use the app or to unlock Pro.
Everything else stays local — your curriculum selection, deck order, card position, learned/progress markers, streak data, Pro unlock flag, search history, settings (theme, language, voice speed, recognition strictness) are stored only in your browser’s local storage on your device. AksonThai has no server and does not collect, transmit or sell any of this information.
Export / Import — Export progress creates a JSON file of the local data above, saved to your device. You decide if and how to share or back it up. Import reads such a file back into local storage.
No ads, no analytics, no tracking — AksonThai does not include advertising SDKs, analytics SDKs, or third-party trackers.
Children — AksonThai does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children, since no personal information is collected at all.
Changes — if this policy changes, the updated version will be made available within the app and on our website.
